The Add to desktop feature of the iPhone is implemented by creating Web clips. Here are the steps to enable Add to desktop:

1. Open Safari and navigate to the web page you want to add to your desktop.
2. On the bottom toolbar of Safari, click the Share icon (an icon with an arrow pointing upward in the box).
3. In the sharing options, swipe right until you find the \"Add to Home Screen\" option.
4. Click the \"Add to Home Screen\" option.
5. In the pop-up dialog box, you can edit the name of the page (the default is the page title), and then click the \"Add\" button.
6. Return to the home screen and you will find that a new app icon has been added, representing the page you just added.
7. Tap the new app icon to quickly access the page.

Please note that this feature only works on web pages that can be accessed through the Safari browser. Some web pages, especially those that require a login or use of third-party applications, may not display or function correctly.
