Make sure the lightning to USB cable is firmly inserted into the charging case and USB power adapter. Then make sure the power adapter is properly plugged into the power outlet.
If you are using a charger that is compatible with the Qi standard, make sure that one end of the cable is firmly plugged into the charger and the other end is properly plugged into the power outlet.
Charge the AirPods
Place the AirPods in the charging case and close the lid. Charge the AirPods and charging case for at least 15 minutes using the cable that came with the AirPods.
If you have a wireless charging case and are using a charger compatible with the Qi standard, place the side of the case with the status indicator facing up. The status indicator should light up for a few seconds, then turn off and continue charging. If the indicator light is not on, reinstall the charging case. If the charging case is still not charged, try charging it using the cable that came with the case.

Open the cover of the charging case containing the AirPods, then place the charging case close to your iOS device. You should see the charging icon next to the battery icon under the AirPods.
