Samsung wireless charger does not use the Type-C interface for the following reasons.
First of all, the traditional wireless charging technology generally uses the Qi wireless charging standard, and the standard does not consider the use of Type-C interface for charging in the design, so the wireless charger using Type-C interface needs to modify the standard and optimize compatibility.
Secondly, the power output of the wireless charger is relatively limited, and the Type-C interface is generally used for high-power transmission, and the use of this interface may lead to reduced charging efficiency or overheating. Finally, wireless chargers using a Micro USB interface has become a common choice in the industry, which also ensures compatibility with most smart devices, so there is no need to change the interface standard.
Samsung wireless charger uses the Qi standard wireless charging technology, which requires the use of specific chips and coils to achieve wireless charging. At present, most mobile phone manufacturers have adopted Micro USB interface or Lightning interface to achieve wireless charging, which has become the standard interface of mobile phones. Although the Type-C interface has faster charging speed and higher data transfer rate, there is currently no standardized Type-C wireless charging technology, so the Samsung wireless charger uses a Micro USB interface to maintain compatibility and stability.
