How big does Tesla use?

There are three options for the current size of the Tesla home charging pile: 7KW, 11KW, 21KW.

If you apply for a 220V meter at home, you can only choose a 7KW charging pile; However, if the home or community can apply for a 380V meter, then you can choose 11KW and 21KW charging piles.

In the case of meeting the charging conditions, the charging pile installation master will adjust the charging current of the charging pile according to the wishes of the owner. More on Tesla charging:

The Tesla 220V household single-phase electric charging pile can support a maximum of 7KW (32A), that is, 220*32=7KW, which is converted to about 50 kilometers per hour on the MODEL-3 car, and is fully charged for about 9 hours.

Car charging is actually a simple portable version of the charging pile, a charging connector with a gun, generally 200V, conventional support (8A, 10A, 16A) manual adjustment, 16A can be charged about 25 kilometers per hour, mainly as a temporary power supply, can be connected to residents ordinary air conditioning socket.

The Tesla 380V three-phase charging pile is available in 21KW (6.6kW\/h) and 38KW (11kW\/h). Take Model Y as an example, charging with 11KW charging pile, charging speed is 77 km\/h, and charging with 21KW charging pile, the same 77 km\/h. Since the modelY only supports 11KW, the two charging piles seem to be very different, but the 21KW charging pile is more compatible. Although it only supports Model S and Model X, it can be compatible with 7KW and 21KW charging piles at the same time, which means that 21KW can basically support all new energy vehicle charging.
