1. Shut down the iPhone XS, and prepare the silencing cables and tools (such as suction cups, flat head screwdrivers, and triangle plates) to be replaced.
2. Separate the front and rear panels of the iPhone XS using suction cups, and remove the screw fixing plates.
3. Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the battery connector and mainboard connector. Do not use too much force to avoid circuit damage.
4. Use the triangle plate to pry away the fixing clips at the slot of the mute cable and take out the original mute cable.
5. Insert the new mute bar into the slot. Note the direction and position.
6. Repeat the preceding steps to reinstall the mainboard connector, battery connector, and screw fixing plate.
7. Assemble the front and rear panels together to test whether the mute function is normal.
8. If everything is normal, turn on the iPhone XS and check whether the function is normal.
