Not really. The mouse itself and the charging base are mainstream Type-C interfaces, with good compatibility, and you can charge it by picking up a Type-C.
What is more confusing is that the EM901 is standard with a traditional rubber cable, and the charging base is a soft cordon cable. If you buy a suit, this does not matter, you can swap. But if you buy a mouse, you'll have to make do with this rubber wire.
