There is no reference voltage in either a pointer or a digital multimeter. The pointer multimeter is a standard system based on the combination of magnetic system structure, moving coil and spring. The header should be called standard system.
The head of the electronic multimeter is measured by feeding the voltage drop generated by the standard resistance into the chip for calculation. There is no reference voltage.
