The CD3217 has 1MB of flash memory and 32KB of RAM and four CAN bus controllers. The CDC3257G extends 32-bit capabilities to lower cost applications, with 256KB flash memory, 12KB RAM, and two CAN bus controllers. Both chips also have a variety of other peripherals, including multi-function ports, special-function ROMs, and sound generators. In addition, there are two UART, two SPI, two I2C and 102 universal I\/O pins.
