The 82C250Y is a Controller Local Area network (CAN) bus transceiver chip manufactured by Infineon, Germany. The chip supports the high-speed CAN bus communication protocol of ISO 11898-2 standard, and has multiple protection functions such as overvoltage protection and short circuit protection, which is suitable for data communication applications in automotive electronics, industrial automation and other fields.
The 82C250 is the interface between the CAN protocol controller and the physical bus. The device provides differential transmission capability to the bus and differential reception capability to the CAN controller. This is the most widely used CAN transceiver in the world.
