If the switching speed is not high, the 5V microcontroller can directly drive the MOS tube, and add a level of ordinary triode amplification when the speed is high.
Because the high-power FET gate theoretically does not need current, but at high speed, the gate capacitor (up to several thousand picomethods) needs to be charged and discharged quickly, so it will need to consume several milliamps to tens of milliamps of current.
