general remark
The OP191, OP291, and OP491 are single, double, and quad micropower, single-supply, 3mhz bandwidth amplifiers with rail-to-rail inputs and outputs. All power supplies are guaranteed to operate at 3 V single supply and ±5 V dual supply.
The OPx91 series, manufactured on the emulator CBCMOS process, has a unique input stage that allows the input voltage to be safely extended beyond 10v without any phase inversion or latching. The output voltage fluctuates within the millivolt range of the power supply and continues to supply current to the power supply.
Applications for these amplifiers include interfaces for portable telecommunications equipment, power control and protection, and sensors with a wide output range. Sensors that require rail-to-rail input amplifiers include Hall effect, piezoelectric, and resistance sensors.
The ability to swing rails at both the input and output allows designers to build multistage filters in single-power systems and maintain a high signal-to-noise ratio.
OP191\/OP291\/OP491 is specified in the extended industrial temperature range -40°C to 125°C. The OP191 single amplifier and OP291 dual amplifier are packaged in 8-lead plastic SOIC surface mount packages. The OP491 quad is available in 14-wire PDIP, 14-wire narrow SOIC package, and 14-wire TSSOP.
