MCU terminology should be called MCU. MCU in liquid crystal display refers to the program storage and running chip. It is not a driver, but a program memory unit of the main chip. The driver of the liquid crystal display is burned in this memory. There are some LCD display MCU is separate from the main chip (most Samsung is this). The board on the LCD screen is called the screen circuit board. It is integrated with the screen and cannot be separated. The board connected to the screen with multiple rows of wires is called the drive board. The MCU is usually located on this circuit board. The main chip is not called the MCU, the MCU is a subsidiary unit of the main chip.
