Touch switch is a device that uses the human body to sense the change of capacitance to control the switch, often used in electronic products, the principle is as follows: There are many electrode sheets on the sensing capacitor board installed inside the touch switch, and the capacitor is formed between the electrode sheet and the backplane.

When the human body is near the switch panel, because the human body is charged, the value of the capacitor will be changed, so that the detection circuit detects this change and triggers the switch to work. In fact, the capacitive touch switch is controlled by the change of the electric field of the human body. Touch switch is mainly divided into single contact and multi-contact two, multi-contact touch switch can achieve gesture control, such as sliding, rotation, scaling and other functions.


It is achieved using electric field effects. When we approach the surface of the touch switch, a weak electric field will be generated on the electrode plate, and the generated electric field will change the charge on the electrode plate, which will be sensed and transmitted to the touch switch control circuit, thus triggering the switch action.

The touch switch is usually composed of capacitive sensors, microprocessors and other components, which can determine the distance and direction of the human body to achieve the control of the switch.
