What does a car key with a chip mean?

When the car key is turned on in the ignition, the engine control unit (ECU) in the car sends a set of encrypted electronic code signals to the chip in the car key. Only when the ECU can read the feedback and receive the correct anti-theft code signal will the car be allowed to start. Therefore, even a simple car key, without any buttons, can be turned on and on the vehicle's anti-theft system through the internal chip code. Car keys with chips need to be programmed using special original matching equipment.

Used in the automotive field, the chip is known as a magnetically coupled forwarding system. The magnetically coupled transmission system is essentially passive. The chip itself does not need a constant power supply, so it does not need to be powered on all the time. Just pass in the electromagnetic range of 125 kHz frequency. The chip will produce its own original set of coded signals under electromagnetic waves, generally in the range of 1 cm to 15 cm. Since this is a radio frequency, it can penetrate the material so that the chip does not need to reveal the appearance, and can be made of plastic or rubber in the shape of a key head.

The key recognition process in most automotive anti-theft system chips is basically similar. When a car chip key is inserted into the ignition lock, turn to the \"on\" or \"run\" position, install the induction coil around the ignition lock, and send out an electromagnetic wave. The winding in the key chip radiates, and the electromagnetic wave of electricity causes the electronic chip to emit a coded signal. The signal is usually an alphanumeric sequence, which is considered an identifier. The signal is read in the induction coil and sent to an ECU computer to recognize the signal. If the signal is confirmed as a signal already in the ECU computer memory, it is accepted by the ECU computer, and the other electronic components of the ECU control vehicle are set to allow execution, at which time the vehicle engine can run and start at will.
