Adjustable power supply cc and cv difference?

< br >

The two modes are different.

CC: constant current mode of the DC power supply

CV: Constant voltage mode of DC power supply

(1) The constant voltage mode of the DC power supply is usually the default mode, and the boot is in the constant voltage mode under normal working conditions.

Any voltage within the voltage range can be set with the panel V-set key, while I-set is the current limit. The output panel displays the current corresponding voltage and current. In constant voltage mode, the voltage is maintained and the set output voltage is basically the same. The current varies with different loads.

Let's say I set the output voltage to 5v,

1 & # 39; Access 10R resistor, current should be 0.5A,

2 the & # 39; Plug in a 20R resistor and the current should be 0.25A

It conforms to Ohm's law

u=I*R

(2) Constant current mode is to maintain the stability of the current output, while the voltage is variable. Taking DC power supply as an example, when we connect the load, the current in the circuit is greater than the pre-set current value, the power supply will automatically switch from CV state to CC state, that is, constant current mode.

To take our example from above again,

Set output voltage to 5v, set output current to 0.25A,

When we access the 10R resistor, there should be 0.5A current, but at this time our output current is limited to 0.25A, so we have to reduce the voltage to meet the current limit, this time the voltage on the 10R resistor is 2.5V.

The CV indicator light of the adjustable power supply is on, indicating that the current power supply is in a constant voltage output state, that is, the output voltage is unchanged at the set value, and the current changes with the load. The CC indicator light is on, indicating that the current power supply is in a constant current output state, that is, the output current is unchanged.
