The DS1233 economical reset allows the microprocessor to monitor two important conditions: power anomalies and external data overdrive. Precision temperature standards and comparators are used to monitor power supply status (VCC). Once the power supply is detected to be out of tolerance range, the internal power failure signal will be generated and forced to reset state. When the VCC returns to normal conditions, the reset state will be maintained for approximately 350ms in order for the power supply and processor to reach a stable state. The second function of the DS1233 is manual reset control. The DS1233 provides key shake off and releases a reset pulse of 350ms before the reset.
