The terminal service, also called WBT, is integrated in Windows.NET Server and exists as a system server service component.
What it does: Terminal Services enable you to deliver Windows-based applications or the Windows desktop itself to almost any type of computing device, including those that cannot run Windows.
Terminal services work by connecting the client and server to a standard LAN architecture over TCP\/IP. Through the client terminal, the input of the mouse and keyboard of the client is transmitted to the terminal server, and the display on the server is transmitted back to the client. The client does not need to have computing power, at most it only needs to provide some caching capability. Many clients can log on to the server at the same time as if they were working on the server at the same time, and they are independent of each other as different session connections.
