The NPU of this generation of chips uses a 2-core and 1-small core architecture, and has been upgraded to the Da Vinci 2.0 architecture.
In the AI Benchmark of Federal Institute of Technology Zurich's mobile phone AI performance list in 2020, the Kirin 9000 ranks first, doubling the previous generation. Compared to other companies' products, Kirin's performance of the ResNet-50 in int8 accuracy is 60% higher than that of the Snapdragon 865, and the energy efficiency ratio is 150% of the latter.
