The main reason Huawei no longer uses Hisilicon processors is the lack of supply capacity. Huawei's Kirin processors are made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. In addition to Huawei, TSMC's customers include Apple, Qualcomm, Broadcom and Mediatek. Huawei hisilicon ranks fifth. Under the current circumstances, TSMC is not keen on expanding Huawei hisilicon's production capacity.
