According to the laws on pet repatriation in Taiwan, the requirements for entry into Taiwan from Hong Kong are as follows:
(1) Cats and dogs are vaccinated with electronic chips and rabies vaccines. (Rabies vaccination should be completed at least 6 months before departure and within 1 year)
(2) Serum testing for rabies antibodies should be performed at least 180 days prior to entry (based on the time of serum collection), and the testing process should be completed in a laboratory approved by the Taiwan Government.
(3) Inbound passengers need to apply for an entry permit more than 30 days before entering Taiwan, and contact the quarantine station for pet quarantine matters after arriving in Taiwan, and reserve the isolation space. (The requirements for entry permit are: application form, rabies vaccination certificate, serum test qualified report, and a copy of the valid certificate of entry)
(4) Obtain the health certificate of the animal in the exit area and complete the relevant inspection and quarantine procedures.
(5) After arriving in Taiwan, cats and dogs shall enter the quarantine inspection immediately, and the entrants shall provide the entry permit, the original immunization certificate, the customs declaration form, and pay the shipping fee.
(6) The immunization period is at least 21 days, which can be extended according to the actual situation. Inbound passengers are required to reserve a quarantine space in advance to ensure a 21-day quarantine period. During the quarantine period, the quarantine agency may re-test the serum of cats and dogs, and those who fail to meet the requirements will be re-vaccinated.
(7) Please note that if there is any discrepancy between the actual condition of your cat or dog and the quarantine documents and supporting materials you brought with you, the cat or dog may be repatriated, destroyed, or detained in the quarantine station for 180 days
