The principle is to record the number of uses or the remaining amount of consumables through the counter built into the chip. A counter chip is embedded in the chip of the consumables (such as printer cartridges, toner cartridges, etc.), which is used to record the number of times the consumables are used or the amount remaining.
Each time a consumable is used, the counter automatically increases by 1, or decreases accordingly according to the amount of consumables remaining.
When the counter reaches a certain preset value, the chip sends a signal to alert the user that the consumables need to be replaced. The consumable chip counting principle can effectively avoid the use of expired or damaged consumables, and remind users to replace them in time to ensure the normal operation of printers and other equipment.
