The following is my answer, the material of LED light source mainly relates to its core component - semiconductor material chip. This chip is the key to LED light sources, and common semiconductor materials include silicon (Si), germanium (Ge), gallium nitride (GaN) and indium phosphide (InP). Silicon and germanium are the main materials of LED chips, which have excellent electronic and optical properties, allowing LED light sources to efficiently convert current energy into visible light. Gallium nitride is often used to manufacture blue, green, and white LED chips, while indium phosphide is mainly used to prepare red or infrared LED chips.
In addition to semiconductor material chips, the production of LED light sources also involves other materials, such as the bracket used to fix the chip, the wire connecting the chip and the circuit board, the epoxy resin to protect the internal core wire and the shell. The choice of these materials will also affect the performance and service life of the LED light source. In general, the material of LED light source is a comprehensive reflection of a variety of materials, and the selection and combination of these materials are crucial to the performance and quality of LED light source.
