The world's most advanced chips have reached the 3-nanometer scale.
At present, the world's most high-end lithography machine is produced in the Netherlands, and the two largest customers of this type of lithography machine are TSMC and Samsung. And TSMC and Samsung have the ability to manufacture 3 nanometer chips, has achieved the flow sheet, like Qualcomm Intel has placed orders, is expected to mass production next year. TSMC's 3-nanometer chip uses a fin-field-effect transistor (FinFET) architecture, while Samsung uses a new GAA architecture. Both companies are already working on 2-nanometer chips.
The most advanced mobile phone chip in China today is 5 nm (as of 2021) and is Huawei's Kirin 9000 5G SoC chip. The second is the Tanggula T770 chip launched by Unigungrui, which is positioned in the low-end mobile phone market and built based on the 6nm process.
At present, the most advanced chip process is TSMC's 5nm
