Most of China's aggressive expansion of chip manufacturing capacity is 28nm or more backward processes, unlike South Korea's Samsung and TSMC, which are leading the way with advanced processes of less than 10nm.
Air conditioners, washing machine control boards, remote controls, etc. produced in China only need micron processes to meet, and this mature process has lower costs and more reliable and durable chips.
