The difference between a 5-nanometer chip and a 7-nanometer chip is that a 5-nanometer chip will be smaller than a 7-nanometer chip with the same number of transistors crammed into it. The large 7-nanometer chip will cause the capacitance of the original to be larger due to the process problem, and the voltage required will be higher than that of the 5-nanometer chip, resulting in higher overall power consumption.
