A lithography machine from the Dutch company Asmer. Smic's 14-nanometer chips use lithography machines made by the Dutch company Asmer, and possibly a handful of Japanese lithography machines.
At present, there are only four companies in the world that can manufacture lithography machines, namely, Asmer of the Netherlands, Nikon and Canon of Japan, and Shanghai Microelectronics of China. Smic's lithography machine is a duv lithography machine, and the Dutch Asmer lithography machine market share is about 90%. Shanghai Microelectronics last year 28 nm only through technical testing and verification, there is no news mass production. So SMIC uses the Dutch Asmail lithography machine for 14 nm.
