In the software integrated in the chip of the inkjet printer motherboard, there are two programs for the cumulative count of the use of the printer.
One is a cartridge counter. The printer can not directly measure the real margin of ink inside the ink cartridge, is the number of switching machine, printing amount, printing mode, cleaning nozzle number and so on converted into a value for accumulation. When the cumulative value reaches the maximum value of the cartridge counter, the printer thinks that there is no ink in the cartridge, and the red light is on to prompt the replacement of the cartridge. This is true even when the ink is full.
After replacing the cartridge (or pressing the cartridge reset key), the cartridge counter is reset to 0, and the printer thinks there is enough ink.
The other is a waste ink counter. Turning on and off the machine, cleaning the nozzle, etc., will produce waste ink. This waste ink is discharged into the waste ink pad of the printer waste ink bin. Similarly, when the cumulative value reaches the maximum value designed for the waste ink counter, the printer stops working, prompting the part to expire.
