What are the types of radar antenna drive system failures?

1.1 Hardware Faults

Hardware failures are mainly caused by physical changes in component parameters, short circuits, open circuits, etc. For example: integrated circuit, transistor damage, resistor, potentiometer damage or parameter change, contactor, relay, potentiometer contact and switch, fuse contact is poor, etc.; In addition, there are frequency synthesizers, artificial lines, various transformers, and the damage of air-cooled devices. When the fault occurs, it is often accompanied by burning, mushy smell, lighting and other phenomena.

1.2 Software Faults

The software faults mainly include automatic exit of RDASC, false alarm, and system failure to run stably according to the set function. Some are congenital design problems that need to be solved by the manufacturer's continuous improvement. Another type of failure is caused by file conflicts or computer viruses, although it can be prevented and eliminated by anti-virus software classes. However, due to the concealment and diversification of the virus, sometimes it is impossible to prevent, and must be treated with care and prevention, this kind of failure will generally lead to the unstable operation of the radar application software, and sometimes lead to the operation of the program. In addition, improper operation may also cause software failure.

1.3 Mechanical Faults

Mechanical failure mainly refers to the failure of mechanical parts such as antennas and rotating parts. For example: drive motor stuck, rotation parts wear and deformation, fracture or some mechanical structure loose and fall off. Mechanical failure in addition to the design, material, device life and other reasons, and maintenance has a lot to do with maintenance, often caused by poor lubrication.

1.4 Hardware Software Faults

Hardware soft fault is one of the most common radar faults, such as: improper adaptation parameter setting, an electronic switch change or incorrect setting, so that the radar operation error information, resulting in hardware soft fault.

1.5 Human Faults

Human faults are generally caused by improper use of the operator, such as: do not start and shut down normally according to the prescribed procedures, do not blindly repair under the premise of careful analysis, live plug and pull board cards, cables, etc., may cause such faults.
