Shanghai IC R&D Center was established at the end of 2002 with the support of the Shanghai Municipal Government in accordance with the relevant policies of the state on accelerating the development of the integrated circuit industry. It is a non-profit public R&D institution open to integrated circuit enterprises, universities and research institutes all over the country. In May 2007, it was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and other six ministries as a national integrated circuit research and development center. The R&D center maintains the development of application technology suitable for China's integrated circuit industry as the main line, and obtains sustainable development capability through coordinated development with the industry.
