The polyimide (pi) layer is usually set in the traditional chip packaging components to protect the line and buffer the stress generated during the chip packaging process. The pi layer needs to use light to illuminate the mask plate to form a pi window to connect the chip and the wiring layer.
The cost of the mask version is higher, especially for the packaging process of high-density integrated chips, and the packaging cost and time are significantly increased.
