Do not support fast charging mobile phone can use fast charging electrical appliances? What's the impact?

Mobile phones that do not support fast charging with fast charging cables and fast charging appliances will not speed up the charging speed.

Because now the major manufacturers have made the fast charge into a protocol, only when the charger and the mobile phone both meet the standards of the agreement, it will trigger the fast charge effect. For example, OPPO's mobile phone must use a charger and data cable that support the VOOC protocol to charge, if the charger does not comply with the VOOC protocol, then it cannot achieve fast charging, and vice versa. Although OnePlus is not VOOC fast charge, its DASH flash charge is also in line with VOOC's fast charge agreement, so the OnePlus charger can also give OPPO mobile phones to achieve fast charge effect.

At present, the mainstream fast charge protocols are Qualcomm's QC3.0, QC4.0, OPPO's VOOC, OnePlus's DASH, WARP, Huawei's SCP, FCP and so on. There is also the standard USB PD protocol, which is used by Apple iphones and some laptops. Some of these fast charge protocols can be mixed with each other, and some can only be used independently. For example, OPPO and OnePlus mentioned earlier share a protocol, but Huawei and Qualcomm's fast charge can not be mixed.

Generally, the fast charger will have several kinds of output power, such as 5V\/2A, 9V\/2A, 12V\/1.5A, 5V\/4A, 4.5V\/5A, etc. Generally, different fast charging agreements will use different charging power. For example, OPPO's VOOC is 5V4A, Huawei's FCP is 4.5V\/5A, and Qualcomm's QC3.0 is 9V\/2A. Different protocols have their own benefits, and the common denominator is that the higher the power supported by the protocol, the faster the charging speed. The 5V\/2A is basically a basic charging power supported by all regular chargers, it does not need any fast charge protocol support, basically as long as the smartphone supports this charging power. Therefore, when the internal chip of the charger detects that it does not match the fast charge protocol of the mobile phone, it will output the basic charging power of 5V\/2A by default, so that the mobile phone battery will not be affected, but there is no fast charge effect.

As shown in the figure above, using Huawei SCP fast charger to charge the Honor 9X will still output 5V\/2A standard charging power. Therefore, the charging speed will not be accelerated, and it will not affect the life of the phone battery.

Similarly, the battery chip of smart phones usually has a voltage\/current protection function, when the chip detects too much voltage\/current, it will actively reduce the voltage and current to protect the battery of the phone.

Of course, it is best to charge the mobile phone with a regular brand charger, that is, there is a 3C mandatory logo on the packaging and body. Such a charger is strictly tested when it leaves the factory, and there is generally no problem when charging. Although some chargers that have not passed 3C compulsory certification may have a fast charging effect, the charging quality cannot be guaranteed, and may even damage the phone.

It can be used, but the charging speed cannot meet the fast charging standard, because the charging rate of the mobile phone is actually determined by the chip in the mobile phone, rather than the charger. Even if the fast charger is used to charge the ordinary mobile phone, it can automatically identify the charging mode of the mobile phone, if it is judged that the fast charger is not supported, then the fast charger will automatically adjust to the ordinary mode to charge the mobile phone

There is a certain impact, the first is overcharging, originally a 5V1A charger, with a 5V2A charger is likely to be the mobile phone battery is broken, the charger stipulated by the manufacturer is strictly tested, charging with different chargers, sometimes reduce the life of the mobile phone, there is the mobile phone motherboard components will also affect, Because some components are fixed current and voltage, once it is large, it will break down, and the possibility of burning is also there.

The charger is best to match the mobile phone, such as your mobile phone is 5V 1A, you must use the 5V 2A charger to charge, for the battery is overrush, easy to charge the battery, there is also the risk of explosion. Of course, it is also necessary to look at the charger, such as Huawei, OV, Millet these big name chargers have their own fast charge agreement, if the phone does not support the fast charge agreement, the charger is generally charged in accordance with the lowest current. Before I bought a charging bank, it supports 9V2A fast charge, but the mobile phone is using a Huawei 5V 5A charger, which does not support 9V. Finally, charging the charging bank with a mobile phone charger should be using 5V charging, which is very slow, and it has not been full for 12 hours, and it will be full for a few hours with a 9V charger. Some miscellaneous charger is recommended not to use, miscellaneous charger charging protection is not good, easy to cause problems. It is better to use the original charger, guaranteed.
