The Kirin 990 is a mobile phone processor developed by Huawei, and the Hisilicon Kirin 990 processor is manufactured using TSMC's second-generation 7nm process. Huawei's 5G smartphone is powered by the Hisilicon Kirin 990 processor. Although the overall architecture of the Kirin 990 processor has not changed, due to the improvement of the process and the use of lithography machines, the overall performance of the Hisilicon Kirin 990 processor will be about 10% higher than that of the previous generation of Hisilicon Kirin 980.
