In early 2020, \"Electronic Engineering Album\" reported that because of the United States ban and other reasons, Huawei has begun to transfer orders above 14nm from TSMC to SMIC, of which Kirin 710A is built by SMIC's 14nm FinFET process. It is reported that the original Kirin 710 series was launched in July 2018, with the first Huawei Nova 3i mobile phone, which was manufactured by TSMC at 12nm. The Kirin 710A used in the Honor Play 4T is the first processor to achieve commercial mass production after Huawei transferred the contract to SMIC.
